8. Advanced Moves to Try

Once you’ve mastered the basics, you might want to challenge yourself with more advanced techniques.

Backward Skating

  • Start by pushing off gently and gliding backward in a “C” motion with each foot.
  • Keep your weight centered and avoid leaning too far forward.

One-Foot Glide

  • Shift your weight onto one foot and hold the position while gliding.
  • Extend your other foot slightly behind you for balance.

Jumps and Spins (For More Experienced Skaters)

  • Small hops and turns can help improve agility and footwork.
  • Always practice in a safe area and wear protective gear if attempting jumps.
